HOLLY RUXIN

FOUNDER & CEO
  • Holly founded Montcalm in 2012 to provide wealth management services based on intelligent investing, empowerment, and integrity.

    As Montcalm's CEO, she oversees the strategic direction and success of the firm, focusing particularly on client relationships, portfolio asset allocation, and the selection of Montcalm’s investment offerings.

    After beginning her investment career in fixed income derivatives sales at Goldman Sachs, she proceeded to manage assets, lead private client teams, and trade at Morgan Stanley, Montgomery Securities, and Bank of America.

    In 2015, she founded Trevor TCR, a foundation established to award philanthropic grants to organizations supporting health, education, enterprise, and the arts, all necessary cornerstones of healthy, successful communities.

    Holly's intelligent, values-driven approach to business and finance earned her recognition as a World Changing Woman in Conscious Business by Conscious Company Media in 2022.

    Holly has an MBA in Finance from Columbia University and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan. She lives in San Francisco with her family and enjoys live music, hiking, movies, and spending time in Tahoe.

ROBYN O’BRIEN

Chief operating officer
  • Robyn focuses on operations, business development and partnerships for Montcalm.

    Her work in capital markets began at Invesco where she was on a team that not only managed $20 billion in assets but also launched the company’s first hedge fund. Robyn’s background in entrepreneurship, as the founder of Sirona Ventures and rePlant Capital, financial services firms established to develop agricultural and climate solutions, as well as her leadership roles establishing NGOs in the health and environmental sectors, provide deep expertise from which to draw for her work at Montcalm. 

    In 2020, Robyn was recognized for her work by Forbes' Impact 50 List, and she is a bestselling author of The Unhealthy Truth, How Our Food Is Making Us Sick and What We Can Do About It (Random House 2009) and Seeding Innovation, The Path to Profit and Purpose in the 21st Century (Wiley Publishing April 2024).

    Robyn is an Executive Producer of the award winning documentary, Common Ground, an adjunct professor at Rice University, and co-founder of the Women Transforming Food and Finance Conference.

    She received a Fulbright fellowship and an MBA from Rice University and loves hiking, running and anything to do with music. Most importantly, she is the mother of four incredible adult children inheriting every action and inaction taken today.

DAVID RUXIN

PORTFOLIO MANAGER
  • As portfolio manager, David’s focus is on propelling systemic change in our capital markets through exemplary, thoughtful, and responsible investing on behalf of Montcalm clients. He is responsible for executing Montcalm’s public security strategies and managing all investments in client portfolios in tandem with Holly’s wealth management advisory. He takes pride in investing portfolios based on real, fundamental analysis and assisting clients in building and sustaining wealth that they actively engage with, understand, and feel good about. David has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis at economic justice and mental health organizations which, in conjunction with his educational background in public policy, jump started his passion for shifting the paradigm away from societal improvement being seen as a charitable burden and towards being understood as a fundamental component of financial success and sustainability.

    David holds a BA from the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia where he concentrated his studies on social entrepreneurship and public-private partnerships. David enjoys time on the golf course, a good work of fiction, and constant learning.

STEPHANIE BONHAM

PRIVATE MARKETS & IMPACT STRATEGIST
  • Stephanie manages Montcalm’s impact strategy and private investment pipeline development through rigorous analysis and comprehensive due diligence, investment facilitation and reporting, community building, and thought leadership in the impact investment arena. She utilizes her accumulated expertise to provide clients with best-in-class impact investment opportunities and further Montcalm’s mission of nudging capital markets and all its participants to be in the right relationship with the world at large. She is committed to holding clients wellbeing as the first line of positive impact by facilitating investments that do not sacrifice on returns and financial sustainability while aligning portfolios with compassion for people and planet.

    Stephanie’s experience prior to joining Montcalm includes time in the tech industry, management consulting at Deloitte, and work in international development. She holds a BA in Political Science from UC Davis and an MSc in Management with a focus in Finance from the London School of Economics. It was through her work in East Africa and her master’s dissertation research that Stephanie developed her passion for sustainable agriculture and equitable impact investing. During her time off, Stephanie enjoys cooking, hiking, reading, and travel.

JESSICA BELTMAN

manager, operations
  • Jessica manages Montcalm’s administrative and investment operations, ensuring clients’ immediate needs are met and enabling the rest of the team to provide the best service possible. Her experience prior to Montcalm spans ten years in the financial services industry, including roles in operations at a fintech startup and in special projects at nonprofits such as Kiva, the Maasai Migrants Project, and the Chijnaya Foundation.

    Jessica holds an MA in Anthropology with a focus on film and Maasai women’s educational empowerment, from San Francisco State University, and she received her BA in Mass Communications with a focus on photojournalism and graphic design from the University of South Carolina. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys hiking, traveling to learn about different cultures, and dining out with friends.

BRANDON TRAMMELL

ADVISOR, BUSINESS/ESTATE STRATEGY, tax & insurance
  • Brandon is a dynamic financial guide and educator dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of trusts, strategic business entities, tax minimization, and what he calls “venture philanthropy.” His rich 20 year career as a financial services professional helps him to leverage our current financial system to maximize their outcomes, couple that with his abundance mindset and compassion and you get a perspective that is rare in the industry. Brandon’s primary objective is to bring excitement and fun back into money by aligning wealth with clients’ unique personal values and helping them to focus on building a legacy of positive impact. His tailored approach empowers clients to achieve true financial independence while making a meaningful difference in their families & communities.

COLLEEN JOHNS

creative & connective development
  • Colleen leverages her deep appreciation of community, organization, and artistic expression to amplify Montcalm's creative and connective impact.

    Since beginning her career as an associate with PwC's international tax team, Colleen has worked with farmers, executives, investors, entrepreneurs, and academics across tax, procurement, agriculture, and finance.

    In 2020, she co-authored the article What is Regenerative Agriculture, published in Frontiers after research to address the farming approach's practices and outcomes. Prior to joining Montcalm, Colleen combined her passions for sustainable food systems and emerging company development by joining rePlant Capital, a financial services firm founded to transition conventional farmland to regenerative agriculture.

    Whether working with clients, colleagues, or on solo projects, Colleen emphasizes attention to presentation and delivery in equal measure, upholding her belief that what is most effective and timeless must be stunning and seamless.

    Colleen is an incoming law student, a stand-up comedy photographer, and an amateur cook currently working her way through Mastering the Art of Italian Cuisine by Lidia Bastianich.
